A Busy and Beautiful Month!

We had the most perfect babymoon in Mexico! Of course, I booked the trip before I was pregnant as a way to celebrate Tony's birthday, end of med school year and our 8th anniversary. After finding out we were pregnant, we threw in one more reason to celebrate.... even if it meant I'd be swimming up to the bars to order water, juice and an occasional Fanta.

We were in Cancun for 9 days. It was so relaxing and beautiful! Since we were there for a while I split our time at two different resorts. Each of them I would highly recommend. The Royal Resorts were very nice. We had a two bedroom beachfront villa and could use the all-inclusive at all the properties. We stayed at The Royal Cancun, but spent a day over at The Royal Sands. THEN came our stay at Live Aqua. It was one of the VERY best resorts paradises I've ever stayed at-- beautiful, classy, luxurious, relaxing, and so much more! I really can't sing its praise enough; I could have stayed there forever! We spent a day over at Isla Mujeres and also checked out a local Cirque du Soleil type show which was super impressive.

After Mexico, I went straight to New Jersey with my mom. It was a fun and relaxing 10 days with family... and of course, the most special beach. While visiting, my grandmom got to hear the baby's heartbeat, I learned lots about space and Mars, and I was able to spend good quality time with my mom, my grandmom, my aunt and her family, and the Aldrins.

THEN IT WAS TIME FOR THE BIG REVEAL!!!
I was 18 weeks and dying to know!! The morning after I got back I had a doctor's appointment at 7:30am. We had the technician put the "tell all" ultrasound picture in an envelope and gave it to our sister-in-law Cynthia to fix up "the box". We took the box to my parents house that night and learned the news!! I don't know what it was, but after seeing the little face on the ultrasound that morning, I had a pretty strong feeling that we would be seeing blue.

Baby Boy, I cannot wait to kiss your little face. I just can't fathom how my heart is going to explode and how my life is going to change forever. Mommy already loves you more than you will ever know.

IT'S A BOY!!!!!!

Then it was time for some more fun in the sun! We had a Dreier reunion at the lake over the 4th of July. [We told them the news by letting Tony's dad pop a balloon filled with confetti!] We had family stay with us in Norman. Then we went back out to the lake to host a medical school mod party.  At that point, I had officially reached over 5 weeks of nonstop going, going and more going. All really fun and amazing times, but I was ready for a break... and my own bed!!

I've now been home for a couple of days and I am thoroughly enjoying being really lazy. Everything in the pregnancy is going great. I'm definitely noticing more changes in my body and my belly is getting bigger every day. I still feel like I'm in a dream! Maybe it won't hit me until he's actually here in my arms.... but, in the meantime, we have lots to do! ((Like choose a name!))

We bought him his first adorable outfit.
We've been test driving lots of "mom cars".
We picked out and bought his bedding!

And... our house is currently under construction as we transform the extra bedroom into an office/guestroom combo and the "once was office now piles of everything room" into a nursery! This daddy is working so hard and the end result is going to be AMAZING!! It seems like this summer has really flown by so we're going to be productive, yet savor, these last 3 weeks!

...and now we're almost 21 weeks and over the half-way mark!!
