Rotation Recap: Neurology

I told Tony that he should journal after each rotation so he can look back at all the pro's and cons. I don't know if he'll actually do it, but I thought I'd write down some of my thoughts....
after all, one of these will be the career path he chooses!

Neurology:
There were some pretty long days but overall it seemed pretty good. Tony seemed interested, but said that it wouldn't have everything he wanted in a career. He didn't come home as excited about work as he did in other rotations. He did seem to like pediatric neurology a little bit more, but nothing to win him over and choose that for a career.

Do I think this will be his career?
Nope. I think he's leaning towards family medicine... BUT he still has OB/GYN to do and Pediatrics and I think he might like those a lot more than he thinks.

Sick Boy

I guess we had too much partying yesterday. 

Poor guy hardly gets sick and is miserable today. 

Doggie snuggles (and mommy snuggles) is some good medicine. 

I absolutely hate seeing my baby not feeling good. 

      

St. Patrick's Day

We had our corned beef cabbage and took a family walk.

 

Edison

Welcome to the family, Little Edison.
We hope you will bring joy to our family and lots of playfulness back to sweet Molly.


He's a 9 week old BorderDoodle: 1/2 Border Collie + 1/2 Standard Poodle
We have high hopes that he will not shed and be a smart, good & loyal dog.
And hopefully an easy puppy to train!!

     

Fifteen Fabulous Months

15 months.

It's gone by so fast, but at the same time I feel like I've loved you forever. It's funny how that works.

I am lying in bed about to go to sleep. I just walked in your room to check on you and took a picture. I said a quick prayer that the flash wouldn't wake you (it didn't) but I was willing to risk it for a picture-- My closest attempt to capture and freeze that moment forever. I just stood there and stared. My love for you is something I just can't comprehend. It's an unconditional, do anything, make me cry at the thought, kind of love. 

You are so full of life. You make the funniest faces (even when you squint your eyes to pout), you have a sense of humor, you give the very very best hugs (you pat my back and say "awww"), you are sensitive, strong, and so happy. You make life so much fun. Except you hate sleep, and that's something I can never comprehend. Haha. 

I love you, sunshine.
