34 Weeks!

Look at that belly grow!

I feel gigantic and, for the most part, uncomfortable, but I know that some day I will look back and miss these days. Not that I'm necessarily crazy about how I look, what I weigh, or how I feel, but it's been amazing to witness my body going through these changes to accomplish such an amazing feat of growing and carrying a child; it truly is a miracle. I cherish the moments I can feel him wiggle, twist, turn and kick because I know that in a few weeks all of this will only be a memory. Life is short, sweet little babies grow up way too fast so every stage should be enjoyed.

We finished our childbirth class. I'm still not sure we're 100% prepared (are first time parents ever?!) but we did learn a lot and feel more comfortable with what to expect before/during/after labor and welcoming a little one. Last night Tony got to learn all about diaper changing and swaddling! It was so cute watching the dads in the room so focused on the tasks!

33 Weeks

33 Weeks!! Sometimes I look in the mirror and wonder how I could get any bigger.  I feel like I might pop! ....and speaking of popping, my belly button already has.

I've been staying really busy which is helping to pass the time as I get closer to the end.
I know these next 7-ish weeks will fly by on their own without me wishing them away, but I'm getting so incredibly excited to meet my little guy! This is definitely a lesson in patience.

So latest happenings...
  • Every girl dreams of going back to her 10 year high school reunion with cankles, right? Because, if so, I totally nailed it. Really though, it was super fun and fun to take a walk down memory lane and see so many old faces again!

  • The "big" stuff like furniture in the nursery is all set up, now we're just working on decorating to give the room a little bit of character. Sometimes I sit in the glider and day dream of how much life is going to change in a few short months.

The nursery is done in an "Adventure/Airplane Theme" and a little inspiration
came from this old picture of my great grandfather:

  • We've been showered with so so much love and have had 3 great baby showers with family, friends, and our med school mod family (BIG oops- too much fun to remember to take any pictures) and have even spent some time with family celebrating special days like birthdays and baby showers.
