You are a busy boy! You are such a fast crawler and very curious.
I love love love spending my days with you. There is nowhere else I'd rather be than home with you!
Your laugh is the best thing ever. You laugh when we hide from each other, when we chase each other, when daddy dances silly, and when mommy spins you in the air or turns you upside down.
You babble a lot and make these big silly gasping noises and sniff your nose; you're always coming up with something silly to do-- see your new yoga pose where you bend over and put your head down on the floor and look back through your legs?! You can shake your head no and you like listening to music and dancing with mom. You cannot stand when things like blocks or cups are stacked and you immediately insist on knocking them over! You have 3 teeth with the 4th on its way! You climb on EVERYTHING, which also means you sometimes fall and get bruises and scratches that come along with those falls (see pictures). You still love Sesame Street, but Wheel of Fortune is becoming a new hobby for us to watch in the evenings. You love playing with Molly, who so gently tolerates you, but you learned the hard way with Henry. He doesn't like to be pestered and while he was sleeping you crawled up on him from behind and scared him. He turned around and nipped you. It broke my heart. (I'm also sad, but know it's the right choice for Henry to go live with Grandmom and Grandpop now.)
You got another haircut this month. I let Daddy take you because I just didn't want to see those awesome curls get cut off. You came home and looked so much older to me. Where, oh where, has my itty bitty baby gone?!?
The cool airplane picture was drawn for you by your Uncle Adam. It was very thoughtful of him to draw it and send it to you. He is a great artist. I wonder if you will grow up and enjoy painting or drawing. I'm crafty but not very artistic.
You don't really take a pacifier even though there's a picture of you with one. If I run water on it, you'll suck on it for a few minutes because it feels good on your gums... but I really wouldn't mind if you decided you liked them. It'd probably make it a whole lot easier to get you to go back to sleep in the middle of the night if you'd just take a pacifier. Speaking of sleeping... I'm pretty sure you hate sleep. I love sleep and really miss sleep.}
You met lots of extended family earlier this month when we had Great Grandmom's memorial service in Tulsa. I think you helped lighten the mood and brought smiles to everyone's faces. You are sunshine when clouds are gray. I love you, buddy.
