Grandparent's Day

It's "Grandparents Day" today. I'm sad thinking about how different this week is from what we had planned, but so happy being here at such a special place and remembering a beautiful life. My Grandmom bought me a ticket to come stay with her for a week at the beach; I was really looking forward to a quiet week spending time together. Instead, we have buried her ashes at the family cemetery and we are now spending this week with family at the cottage. My grandmom was raised at this beach and now the youngest generation squeals with delight at the seagulls, the waves and the sand. Time changes everything but legacies live on and the memories we make will be with us always, so live life in a way that looking back brings happiness and peace... And hug your grandparents every chance you get.
